your frame: 2 tears in a bucket, fuckit, take it to the stage.
Trust me, I'm trying to get it on the road but the shifts I'm doing are killing me, hence the reason I'm posting at 2 in the morning!!!
I test rode a Giant Bowery today because I was bored.
It had FSA vero cranks on it which I have previously spoken up for saying they look good, and FSA make a lot of good stuff.
But really, they are nothing like what I expected. The are horrible, look well flimsy, have lots of manufacturing traces, where you can see how bits were forged/pressed.
Thanks for all your input guys, looks like I'll be keeping the Sugino's

Any idea where I can pick up these Suginos? Or indeed the Andel cranks online, been searching forever!

Many thanks in advance!

FSA vero are shit, the threading for both the pedal axles and the crank puller are pathetic.

Does anyone know if I would be able to order a set of the Condor Suginos via email? Failing that, can anyone actually confirm the price on the Andels from blb, like I said I was told £70 but they might have just been trying it on. Really need to get some cranks sorted soon.

Any opinions on Miche or Sugino chainsets? I'm putting a fixed together and not sure which to go for.

Andels have definitely gone up from 55 to 70 in BLB,

Does anyone know what spindle length to use to get a 42mm chainline with the Andel/BLB cranks???

Hi thanks,
I'm getting my head round the whole chainline thing. I have a conversion and upgrading the BB and crank and now realize that my back wheel is pretty much useless til its respaced and redished or i buy a new one. o dearthere is mention of a set up using a 110mm, and one with 103. I'm guessing the 110 is with 120mm rear frame and the 103 with a 110 track frame? Can anyone confirm?

Just buckled the chain ring on my cheap Sturmey Archer crankset. Thing just folded on me while going up a hill.
It's my beater so I don't really want to splash out too much. Any recommendations on a budget 165mm crankset?

Bought one of these to put on my daughters bike. Ended up putting it on my winter hack.
Well finished, looks the part, decent chaining. Cheap as chips!

The new test bike i rode already had rusty chainring bolts. The chainring looked dirt cheap and rough as fuck.
The bottom bracket felt sluggish and flexy at the same time.
not impressed. My 1970 town bike sugino's with pressed on/integrated steel chainring and tange looseball BB which I have on my current bike felt waaaay better.
