Actually, those were the wrong bars he was referring to apparantly, they are Ambrosio 'Volte Campione Del Mondo' bars

Is the Mercian Ride still on?

Anybody there? Is the ride still on?

Far as I can tell this is off unless someone wants to take up the lead and organize. I am still keen and willing to help with some of the logistics. Seems the Bonk already had the nice people at Mercian onside for this but we would need to reconfirm with them soonish if it were to go ahead. Anyone else still interested? New list?

Did this^ scare everyone away? I'm frightened now...

Only one way to find out. New list. Monday 12th of September 2011. Train up, leisurely local ride, food, visit the nice people at Mercian and back (or some semblance of that order). Seems to be roughly 1:40 on the train, so an early-ish departure would leave serveral hours to faff around. I think that is what was originally envisioned.

I want to do it but I'm reluctant to commit or say I'll organise it cos I might be on holiday.

Large amounts of riders on one train may be a problem. A transit to carry some bikes may be needed? I'd like to be definite. Work offers take priority ... But I'm on the list. Happy to pay for a space on transit up front.

Dredging this after Mercian tweeted pic of the workshop (below) made me think I still want to do this in 2012. Never too early to start planning. Any interest?
