Best wishes to you father to be...and i hope your partner has a safe delivery for her and your baby daughter or son.....but you will need the bike all the more.....you need some 'me' time and so will your partner......would have been very interested had it been the 631 version but might change my mind.....what was its ride characteristics compared to other steel frames you have used?

Many thanks for the wishes. I've still got my normal road bike for riding purposes when it comes to getting some time to myself :)

I couldn't say as I never built it up. I brought it based on the previous owner being 5'10 and he said it fitted him pretty much spot on.

Seconded. In fact, I'd rather have a Tange Prestige tubeset over 631 and I say that as a huge Reynolds fan. When it first came out it was pitched closer to 753 than 531 because it was a heat treated, thinner version of one of it's lesser tubes, Tange number 1, (just as 753 was to 531). I have a late 80's Rossin Prestige made from it and I love it.
Low volume builders in the states love shat shit too but it's getting harder to get hold of these days.P.S. I have no connection to the seller!!

Cheers for the kind words guys. Making me tempted to keep it stashed away and build it up a few years down the line now!

Do you need the money? Do you have the room to store it?....If your answers are no and yes....keep it and be happy.....use your road bike and await fatherhood and focus on how happy that is going to make you and your partner....because i'm telling you it will!

It's not the money, it's more the fact it's stored in the bedroom along with some other bike stuff, taking up a cot sized space :) I don't want to stick it in the shed for fear of it getting damaged, so it's best it goes to a good home.

Let us know if it is a boy or girl......i wish you all the happiness in the works with or without [now without] your Soma Rush frame.
Up for sale here is my Soma Rush I was planning on building up one day, but pending fatherhood has put that on the backburner.
Frame Spec;
55cm (centre - top), top tube 55 (c-c), 74.5deg head, 75.3deg seat angles,
38.8cm chainstays, 96.6cm wheelbase.
Tange Prestige CR-MO db tubing
Drilled front & rear for brakes: bottle cage bosses
1in Head tube
27.2mm seat tube
English threads
120mm rear spacing
Max tyre size 700 X 28c approx.
Weight 4lbs
The frame is fitted with Soma Tange Infinity Track Forks with a Tange threaded Headset. Total weight, frame, forks and headset 2.56kg.
The frame is in an overall good condition in my opinion. In the interests of honesty there is one small paint chip mark on the top (last pic), and a few tiny marks on the underside (2nd to last). Obviously has marks from where wheels have been fitted. Apart from that it's pretty A1. Hopefully the pictures will show condition.
The frame is approximately 3 years old, and is now discontinued by Soma in this colour. They do still have a few in stock I believe, with RRP being $530 including the forks. Then you'd have shipping on top of that. Taking this into account I'm asking £160ono.
Collection from either Sheerness or Rainham in Kent, or I can bring up to Mile End Climbing Wall in east London on a Tuesday/Thursday evening if it helps.
Thanks
