Can anyone tell me the proper name (if it has one) of this frame. From little research it looks like a BMC TT01 with drops, but would that be too simple?
Somewhere on the internet I read BMC only gave these to Swiss riders to promote the brand. -

Bought about 18 months ago. It was sold as columbus steel, any ideas as to the manufacturer/model? Quite interesting lug work which I'd guess would give a good indication...

Looks very much like Tel's Omega.. Like, the same really.. As said in the thread, probably Vitus tubing.. To check if it's Columbus, remove the fork and check the steerer column, if Columbus, it should have a Columbus dove stamped in it.. Or maybe email them with serial?

Btw, sort out saddle angle, bar angle and rear brake cable.. ;) Lug names are also mentioned somewhere in the thread..

Original post: http://www.lfgss.com/thread44162-39.html#post2589768
The drilled rear brake bridge and drilled lugs around the head tube are similar to a lot of RIH frames.
Went to see Wim van der Kaaij @ RIH. He told me RIH has never drilled lugs or used the (flattened) chain stays my track frame has... He thought it could be a Bergh Sport build from the 70s. Also an Amsterdam frame builder. Updates of the build here: http://www.lfgss.com/thread79453.html

Thanks, much appreciated.
I prefer the bars as they are - horizontal on the top...! Any suggestions for the rear brake cable?
Am I right in thinking that Omega went bust and came back as Enigma? Also, any idea on dating it - assume 1994, same as Tel's?

Somewhere on the internet I read BMC only gave these to Swiss riders to promote the brand.I read somewhere that you could use Cervelo TT bikes as track bikes as the geometry was exactly the same just a cable guides and hanger added. So perhaps it is a kind of professionally killed puppy previously named TT01.

Hi,
Does anyone have any ideas as to what frame this is, I get the feeling its not a shorter.
It has campag drop outs with 120mm spacing, BB measures at 66mm so presumably English, 53cm big, frame number is V2369.
It has wrap around seat stays, flat crown old stylee forks which might have been drilled, and has holes for a head badge.Any tips welcome as I haven't found any clues
Thank you

What the fuck have I bought?
I thought at first they were normal, 5 spoke sheriff stars, but clearly they are not.... Are they still desirable? I shouldn't go near eBay when Henry westons vintage cider has been imbibed.....

They are laced to mavic open 4 cd rims.......700c?

Well, the 2nd link also states they are Chorus, but i've never heard of high flange Chorus hubs..

On the 2nd link it says
"even rarer than the .... Are the chorus hubs"With a photo of these! So does that mean its a good buy then? I couldn't find any reference to them....anyone else able to enlighten me?
Cheers though, shame..... Good spot!

The 2 holes on the headtube make Shorter a bit unlikely - I've only ever seen Shorter's with 'S' headtube Stickers - no badges
First guess would be a Viking - the fork crown and seatstay brace look a little vikingesque - this webpage has a directory of Viking frame #'s - there's a V1990 in there http://classicvikingcycles.com/register.htm
The only hole in this theory is the holes- I may be wrong but viking's usually have rivets at 12 & 6, not 3 & 9 as shown in your pic.Hi,

Posted this the other day before I'd got the frame, had a chance to have a good look at it but i'm I still have no clue what frame it is. All I know is it used to have a full campag group on it and has the most awful paint job known to man.
S/N on BB is: 5971 (i think). Dropout are columbus and there were faded remains of a columbus sticker on the fork, so presumably it is all columbus steel.
There was a decal on the downtube for the 'Canadian Cycling Association' and a maple leaf sticker on the headtube so presumably it was in Canada at some point in its life.
Original colour was a midnight blue, looking at the steerer tube.
The frame came with possibly original cinelli giro d'italia bars, weird cutout SR stem, universal 'super 68' calipers and campag levers.
Would love to know what it is so I can restore it to a decent degree!
