Digger - great to see you have signed up...
The hills - as Skive says none of the hills are too bad. I managed to get up all of them except Canonbie Road. That one is a killer, for me it is the speed bumps that finished me off on such a steep gradient. So had to walk up that one, but from the top the view of baby-Lon don is beautiful.
Much prefer the hills to the pave sections. But the main thing about this ride is it is a lovely day out run by a great bunch of people, not some lycra clad Etape type thing for people to get a bit carried away about. It is something to enjoy...
