Not to my knowledge when I was taught, I remember nothing been mentioned about cyclists during my lesson*.
Maybe in the theory test, it might come up randomly but that's about it, I occasionally encounter driving instructor who told me to stay in the secondary line despite being in the correct position on the type of road I was on.
*base on my experience in 2007
