I have a TB14 wheelset, really nice quality, builds up just was well as a mavic open pro, much stiffer&stronger

I wouldn't says the TB14 is as stiff as an Open Pro...

how so?
my daily rear wheel is open pro 36h 3cross to high flange hub, track training wheel is same but TB14 so I have experience with both. I built both to the same spoke tension, both dt swiss champ -

ed doesn't need to have experienced them, he can tell just by looking (he is that good)

Friend show me what's the difference in term of stiffness, the TB14 flex a bit in comparison.
Does not necessary mean it's bad.

Could this be down to build?
Have you ridden them?
-

Never ridden them, but I'm sure they're perfectly fine, just saying a bit misleading to says that they're a lots stiffer than the Open Pro.

Is it not equally misleading to say they're not as stiff as an open pro?
-
• #10
Well, from my eyes seeing how much flex the TB14 have in comparison to the Open Pro, I don't think so.
I'm talking about rims only, when you put the rims on the floor and apply weight on it - the TB14 show some flex.

and you don't get any more scientific than that...

Oh definitely not, we test the atomic bomb by dropping it in our bathtub, not through extensive testing on the Jornada del Muerto desert.

I was put off by the fugly pinned joint

They're not as stiff as an open pro, no where near. Nor are they as round off the machine or as well made.
But they're prettier.

from personal experience?
My park tool tension meter disagrees, they are very round with no visible hop at the joint. -
