His has a very positive down shift goes with a proper clunk thanks to the thumb shift but up shifting more than 1 at a time doesn't feel as smooth. I find downshifting easier in a sprint with the thumb shifter, although this could be cos his bikesba fair bit shorter so is easier anyway???
I have short stumpy fingers, and find Campag stuff the easiest to use from the drops. 2010 SR, together with the clever shaped Easton compact bars, is so comfy. Everything just feels at hand, when you want it, whichever position you're riding in. I only notice how great a set-up it is, when I grab at bikes in shops. I just cant actuate anything without overly stretching and twisting.
