larger clearances, zero-rake fork. maybe some kind of grass track frame? the pedals, gearing and bars make me think speedway as well.

Is it supposed to have a smaller front wheel / bars and be low pro? Has it been set up for polo?

Have I just picked up a lemmon! anyone heard of a speedway being introduced to the road? wouldn't a larger chain ring and slick tyres do the trick?

i'll be fine for the road, they're meant to be thrashed about so i'm sure it'll survive

Hell don't listen to me! That would be your main mistake. Just looks like you'll find it a bit spinny. Just ride it for a while and see what needs changing.

Thanks everyone, I think we've gone definitive - It's a speedway!
Just got this on ebay - the seller admits he knows v.little about bikes, I'm happy to admit the same - Planning to put some proper wheels on it and use it to commute.

Described as " SAKAE RACING BIKE CUSTOM ENGLAND EO94 6 82 DAN TA FRANCE wheels ALESA 515xalloy WEINMANN 650A "
anyone have any guesses as to what this might be - and if it was worth the 70 quid paid for it.
Thanks.
