Im interested im just unsure/noob on the differences with the 1/8 3/32 thing and what it means

Why do the outer links look so shite? Is that what makes it a Kool chain?
Brand new, 3/32 singlespeed chain. I can count the number of links if required but I do beleive they are full length.
I have a few of these availible which have collated but I'm feeling the pinch and having a clearout.
