At teh moment any training related questions (nutrition and so on) tend to get dumped into the Running thread, or the Weight/fat loss thread, with some odds and ends elsewhere- I think Hippy started a nutrition one in Rides and Races, and there are some questions in the track forum.
Could we look at having a sub-forum for training? A lot of us are taking this aspect of cycling more seriously these days, and it would be good to not clutter up other sections with it.
I thought about that for a while, but decided against it as the real question is: What are you training for? And then the answer to that can vary enough that I figured people would put threads in the relevant place.
Basically: Training for track and TT's is one thing (but still different enough), but some people would say that they are training for a LEJOG ride, which is so substantially different that it's hard to see the benefit of that info being side by side.
I think it is a valid request, but right now has no clean answer so I prefer not to do it as bad things tend to stick and I can't fix them later as easily as doing nothing today.
This is precisely the kind of thing I imagine that will resolve itself when I have built the new product though... as we could start with a general training microcosm (forum) and create ever more niche ones for specific purposes as we go along. But under vBulletin's rigid structure this is hard to do in a way that makes sense.
