.
I thought the second game against Grrr was 5-1 but i maybe i was wrong. Thanks to the refs and peoples for the games... super excited about the next round.
you scored a few seconds after time was up, it didnt count. -

Thirteen, Tornadoes, we are having our first practice session with our new lineup tonight, so we should be ready to play in a week or so.
-
• #1155
we could play on the 14th / 15th / 16th if your available yomoyo and DDD?
I'm out of the country from the 10th-18th, so either we play before the 10th or my DDD needs a sub.

Righto. Will have to be a week night then, as I am away the weekend of 11th/12th..

Normally, if the whistle goes before you shoot, any resulting goal doesn't count.

to be honest once the games were over it all became one big blur. the reason i thought we had 5 was because i thought that was the game where i got 3 goals on Kev playing his blind side. perhaps not.

We might be able to do the 15th? Although personally I'd rather do a weekend if possible and two days before deadline is leaving it a bit late in case the weather is bad?

well ive told the others im flexible, and can do pretty much whenever.
i just need prior warning as i have deadlines, funerals and interviews all within the next two weeks, but league match priorities etc -

Ok still want to do cambs? Who is your sub?
-

1) I've been told we have to play in London, and to be honest I'd rather now that we have a London based sub
2) Valentin -

who told you? if it was your team mates fine, i dont see its anyone elses business though.

The league organisers.

Max Pique, could you explain why we can't play a fixture in cambridge please? I'm genuinely interested in why we can't go to cambs and do it there? It a great venue and surely it makes no difference to the outcome of games. Please can i have a decent answer, rather than
'London' Bike polo League. -

First things first, i said it John in jest in the pub.
However there is some truth in it,
I don't think its very fair to ask London teams to pay for a train fare to go and play their league fixture in somewhere that is not London,(I know they are not obliged to, and all of the teams you have asked have said no and you still got the fixture played in London. Bravo.)
When it comes down to it, if you actually got a team to agree to play their fixture there, then yes, probably it would count. But if they had to play in Cambridge to get the fixture played and they didn't want to/couldn't make it. It would be your team receiving the forfeit.
To be honest, I actually think its pretty shitty that you picked a player from Cambridge (no offence Bogey) in the first place, for the London league but didn't want to cause a fuss. I really am curious to know why you did? There are lots of great players in London.

i asked john H if he wanted to go i didnt dictate anything and i dont appreciate what your insinuating. John H likes cambs, i also asked vidal if they wanted to go too, i'd buy the beers and he said he would think about it. Its purely because its a nice court, its inside. Not because boagey is a cambridge player.
I asked boagey to play because i really like him, like his style and wanted to play with a different player then we play with every week at throw ins. I asked JB if he would play because he is really mellow and i thought it would be nice to play with him too.
Why do you have to be so negative about it max? I think its pretty shitty that you say at the 2nd from last fixture that you dont agree. We discussed player geog before and that rules out cam, punkture, louis, but your only focusing on us. The court we play on is not discussed and never has been. Neither of those things are in the rules and your making up rules mid league. For the record i dont have a problem with valentin or anyone else playing as a sub, whether permanent or not.
I really don't care that much about league and even if i did i'm not the sort of person to look for an unfair advantage in some way. Boagey has no problem coming to London, it was my suggestion because i really enjoyed going there for throw-ins. It takes 45mins on the train and is a nice night out. You have done a great job organising the league, but why stick your nose in where it dosnt concern you? It really dosnt concern you at all and its exactly this type of behaviour that spoils the league and polo in london for me.

i'll repeat myself shall i?
"I know they are not obliged to, and all of the teams you have asked have said no and you still got the fixture played in London. Bravo."
No insinuating there.

Fair enough.

Not being negative. Just expressing an opinion that is different to yours.
And in my opinion, Cam/Ben/Louis are London players.
The court we play on is not discussed and never has been. Neither of those things are in the rules and your making up rules mid league.
Yes, i know. This is why i wrote this: "if you actually got a team to agree to play their fixture there, then yes, probably it would count."
I am not making up rules mid league, but if we wanted to we could. See proposal.
For the record i dont have a problem with valentin or anyone else playing as a sub, whether permanent or not.
Good to know?
Anyhow, he is now a member of Thumbs up, not a sub.
You have done a great job organising the league, but why stick your nose in where it dosnt concern you? It really dosnt concern you at all and its exactly this type of behaviour that spoils the league and polo in london for me.
Thanks, appreciated.
However it does concern me, because a bunch of people have mentioned it to me and i just felt i needed to clarify;
in particular this point: "if they had to play in Cambridge to get the fixture played and they didn't want to/couldn't make it. It would be your team receiving the forfeit."

i didnt realise stuff that annoyed you could be changed at your whim. now i get it. Your rules your league. understood. your opinion.

john H. why not email me, (you know the address) tell me what you propose your best dates to be and where you would like to play. Chukker ditto.
