  • @ the ebay link: Wac.

    Not you Lola!

  • Lola, you didn't pick up some extra/spare knee warmers by any chance?

  • @ the ebay link: Wac.

    Not you Lola!

    Ufffff....I was getting quite upset!

  • Lola, you didn't pick up some extra/spare knee warmers by any chance?

No only one pair for myself, sorry.

  • yep this £10 pounds jerseys were a real bargain and love them. There weren't any knee warmers or overshoes yesterday :(

  • Ufffff....I was getting quite upset!

That's the last thing I'd ever say about a woman. Unless she was a Liverpool fan.

  • Hehe, is it sacrilegious/unethical to turn a profit on Rapha... 8-0

    i don't give a fuck about rapha
it's unethical to buy the whole boxes of warmers or merino in front of poor queuing people like me

  • I really think they shouldn't allow people to do that. I've no problem with people buying lots of stuff, but that's clearly just for ebay

  • Rapha merino wool hat is nice and toasty. Slept in it as well last night (moving house so It's freezing).

Fits very well under a helmet too which is a plus.

  • You wear a helmet in bed?

  • As there were no XL bibs in the sale I have gone the opposite of Rapha and bought bibs from Prendas.

German National Champion 2011 Team Bib Shorts in the post. I'm mentally preparing to be scorned by the Rapharatti.

  • If you 'don't give a fuck about it' then why are you queuing? And what's 'poor' about people queuing to buy high end cycling kit a little bit cheaper? If they were poor they'd just go to Decathlon.

It's not like Rapha are selling this stuff out of the goodness of their heart or for a charitable cause is it?

(Just on the wind up... sorry ;) )

It's not just a little bit cheaper, it's usually around 70% off.
I can't afford full price but can afford discounted rapha.

  • ^ haha :) Wonder if the ebayers are crafty enough to wait until the sales dry up then ebay at premium rates

It's not like Rapha are selling this stuff out of the goodness of their heart or for a charitable cause is it?
They're not doing it purely to clear stock either - or they'd just flog the lot to some retail/ebayer outfit and be done with it instead of bothering with all the publicity. Limits on the first two days and no limits on the last to clear it all out would be kind and benefit rapha and their end customers. #ianamarketinger

  • If you can afford the motivation, spare time and the free cash to go buy even discounted Rapha; then there isn't anything poor about you! 8-)

FWIW I like Rapha... but I usually buy 'cheapo' cycling clothes 'cos I am tight and would rather spend on my bike.

Think about all those 'poor' souls, who: due to their unfortunate geographic placement couldn't make the pilgrimage to the 'mecca' of cheap Rapha. All those kind 'Saviours' who bought lot's to sell on eBay so that all those followers from far away can be graced with Rapha.

    ;)

    What's your point Pistoffski?

Are you defending those who are buying in sample sale to sell on ebay?

Are you really that thick that you can't understand that word "poor" can be used sarcastically?

  • You wear a helmet in bed?

Where did I write about wearing a helmet in bed?

  • Obviously the latter of the two, so they'll be pleased if people are coming in droves, buying boxes of kit on the first two days at full price... Less chance of it still languishing in a box on Sunday.

Yes, and it's been said here before.

Rapha wants to get rid of their stock quickly and they don't care if someone picks the whole boxes of stuff.

Still don't see what's your point is.

  • Rapha Tote bags at dawn

  • Pistoffski - I wouldn't worry: being "thick" meant I could snaffle up all the XL tops left behind by the S M and L racing snakes ahead of me in the queue - so who's laughing now, you lithe spritely losers, huh? That's right, the fatty on the Trek. In your FACE.

  • Oh, and by the way... if anyone wants Rapha's cache and therefore their prices to come down, then nothing will do it like me wearing their gear wrapped around a decent gut, on top of a mid-range Lance Armstrong machine.

  • there's no way you wear an XXL

  • that's just because you're northern

  • Hehe...

I got there and there was nothing in an XXL i wanted, so I bought a few medium base layers, to use as rags when cleaning my bike.

there's no way you wear an XXL

    shhhhh Henry...

I want to keep the peace in here (with regards to the above comments about my thickness)

    ;)

    Pistoffski, keeping the peace, yesterday:

  • (Even though you, Quote: 'don't give a fuck' about the brand)

Sorry, i should have been more specific here.
I don't care if someone makes money on rapha.
I don't think that rapha should allow people to buy stuff in large quantities in sample sale (i'm talking about people buying whole boxes of gloves, warmers etc).
It's up to rapha to decide what to do with it.

And obviously, i like the brand.

  • Where did I write about wearing a helmet in bed?

"Slept in it as well last night... Fits very well under a helmet too, which is a plus"

  • he wears a helmet in bed?

    weirdo
