Hey Heeksybean, congrats on winning the bike and fair enough if you want to sell it.
In order to get a reasonable price for it, both for you and potential buyers, it would be wort taking some more detailed photos. Not many people will want to buy the bike without knowing what the model of the frame is etc.
I can see that the Crankset looks like Sugino messenger from the back, the wheels are open pros with formula(i think) hubs. The stem, bars and brake lever are all relatively standard but not bad.
The normal etiquette of the forum is to put an asking price, this means that people can clearly see and comment on the price being asked. I'm sure that the bike would cost 900 from a shop, but as you seem to be aware, is not what you are likely to get on the forum.
People on here will be more than happy to help work out a price if you can provide some more detailed pictures.

Thanks for the tips IdealStandard. I'm unable to get better pictures right now as I am not in Wales where the bike is unfortunately... I thought they were quite detailed, but then I don't know what I'm looking for. But like you said, I am aware that I am not going to get £900 for the bike – that's why I said reasonable offers... Anyway, if no one is interested it's ok. But thanks for the comment!

You will probably make more money if you wait until you can get your hands on the bike, and rather than selling it built-up complete, sell the parts seperately as new.

There will deff be people interested, but with out seeing the bike unwrapped its hard to see how it will look. As whatok says splitting it up will make you more money and shouldn't be too difficult if you are even a little bit savvy.

Parts list looks like:
Front wheel - Mavic open pro to formula
Rear wheel - Mavic open sport to formula
Crankset - Sugino messenger
Brakeset - could be a Tektro or Shimano brakeset
Bars & stem - nothing special
Saddle - White turbo
Frame - 14 bike co..... -

Might be interested in crankset depending on price and if you split :)

And that gold finger lever ;)

I'd take the Sugino cranks at the right price (assuming they are Sugino or something else that's worth having). Maybe the wheels too.

being a non bike person he is probably not going to have the tools to split, or atleast a crank removal tool.

It's not built is it? Dibs the saddle if you're splitting
Hello,
I won this bike in a competition a while back, it is still brand new and not yet put together (still living in the box it arrived in), hence the photos not being too sexy.
I'm not a bike person so I don't know much about it, but I do know this: it was made for my height (5'8 approx), it is blue and green, it is worth around £900 new, it has 'Big Chill' on it in white vinyl stickers (I was assured these will come off and did a little peel test myself to check and it does seem they will come off without damaging the paintwork).
Ummm, I don't know what else to say about it really... The bike is currently at my parent's house in Wales and I think delivery from there to London (for example) would be approx £70. Alternatively it may be brought down by my parents in the next few months if the buyer was willing to wait a bit. I don't expect £900 for it, but I probably won't sell it unless I get a reasonable offer.
Ok, so there we go. Let me know if you're interested. Thanks.
