That's a Carlton 'International' not a Flyer. I look forward to seeing more pictures when its finished.
I was under the impression its a Flyer with the International Lugset, it has the International headtube lugs and seat lug, the bb shell is somewhat less ornate and not from the International lugset, and with campag track ends. The details of the frame are pretty vague...the only 'serial' numbers are a '2' on the steerer and the bb shell.
As for a build- your probably going to forget about this by the time its rollin'!... priorirty is a tourer to ride round europe for the summer.

I think you are right J-Rok, it does say somewhere in the carlton stuff that you could customise the flyer with different lugsets. I have seen some flyers with spearpoint lugs too.

Mother of pearl inlay anyone?
Amazing craftsmanship from Bohemian Cycles,
but I'm feeling the need for a 'beautiful tig weld' thread.

Not sure if this technically counts but a lovely fork crown nontheless

My preference has always been for square-shouldered crowns, but that is rococorgeous.

( IMHO American custom builders seem aeons ahead of British builders ( Mather/Demon excepted... ) in terms of pointless ornamentation, egomaniacal excess and elaborate solutions to non-existent problems.....)
I concur.
Meanwhile, proper lug pr0n:

I'd say to the functional thread with that Look >>
but I'm no tester.
That Baylis doesn't belong here either; nice but not porn. -

Saw longandwinding's amazing demon bike at west this evening.
Her lugs based on her tattoo are the coolest:

It's a Caminade 'Caminargent' Touriste Dame Grand Luxe from the 1940's. The octagonal tubes are bolted into cast aluminium lugs. There is cork in the end of the tubes to stop them collapsing when they are tightened up! A close up of beautiful lugs here... http://vintagebicycle.wordpress.com/category/french-touring-racing-town-bicycles/page/2/

Too over the top for my tastes, but I can't help but admire the craftsmanship of Coumbine:
