Is that range a new direction?
I would hate to think IWC were being influenced by the likes of Timex etc.

Much prefer this black version much less busy than the one above.

I'd still have one.

Pulsar version of that Seiko that Ed posted a while back for £57
Also has anyone seen/heard about Cerakoat?
Looks like an intersting/cheap alternative to PVD etc. -

The repairs on my Sinn have been done. Should get it back Friday. Cost over £200. Feck, these things are expensive if neglected.
How long did sinn take to do the service? i finally got a sin a month or so back but i think it needs a service soon (i got it cheaper as we knew this) as the movement is't hacking. Keeps pretty good time though, loses about a minute a week but i'd imagine it would be better with a service. Got an 857 in the end as I liked the size and couldn't imagine using the chrono if i had it anyway - well, maybe for pasta. And i got it for a good price.
I'd wanted a panerai (not like it was ever going to happen) for years but I think I prefer the sinn I have actually. Low key refinement sorta thing.

It took 4 weeks, but a lot of that was waiting for the parts that I needed. I required a new stem and crown, which I knew in advance. And of course, I sent it off just before Christmas which slowed it down too.
A service alone would have been much quicker and substantially cheaper. I should've done that a year ago instead of threading my stem by correcting it so often because I'd neglected to get it serviced (after 7 years).

Anyone able to identify this strap? I reckon it looks much better than the GasGasBones ones I've seen. Nicer material and I like the printed text. It could be a new/different GGB model, but his site seems to be down so I can't check and can't find anything from him elsewhere other than the regular ones that have been around forever.

Close, but not quite. But thanks to that, I did find it. Nice, but pricey...

Anyone remember when everyone bought Animal velcro straps for their Casio watches at school?

So I've just bought my first watch with a bracelet strap (and got stung £7.50 for shortening it), been looking online and this seems to be worth getting. What do people think?

those colours are lush but i'm not so keen on the lugs and crown on those panerais; I prefer the more chunky monkey models myself - not that i'll be making these decisions for real anytime soon.

I had the most beautiful beaten up 1966 gilt dialled rolex sub. For me it's all about the patina. I had to sell it when the crunch started. No pix, too sad; import your favourite fantasy picture and think of me and my wrist...
