For cars that people suggest go on and on, you see fuck all Primeras about.

I was surprised to see a Starlet turbo last night, and even more surprised to see a Pulsar GTi-R tonight. I haven't seen one of either in so long, and surprisingly, they were both tastefully done. The former was fucking quick too.
I've been hankering after one of these as a city sleeper:

There are 3 turbo starlets in my area. All modified, only one is actually nice - an additional 2" of arch on either side, 13" minilites with proper sized tyres, none of this stretchy bullshit, lowered enough but not excessive.

So many crazy conversions in E30s

Cheap, innit, and plentiful.
Makes sense as a base for something entertaining.
What would not make sense would be a mid-engined 850 estate, but I keep planning such a thing when on the turbo trainer. This will of course never happen, but it is a fun mental exercise.
Last night I got as far as planning the 90 degree V10 made from two inline 5's, external intake manifolds and internal (to the V) exhaust manifolds to feed one large turbo.
It's remarkable how easy these projects are if you make them up in your head.

NURBURGRING 24hrs 2012................................................
For those of you still interested to go a few of my friends and I are going this way (insert below).
I can promise you'll be lucky to get a decently priced hotel at this late a stage and camping is rubbish, especially considering the neighbours in the fields....
If your interested in doing the Ring this way let me know and we'll see if we can book up the same apartment.
**Trackmasters ADAC Nurburgring 24hrs trip 2012
Hello TM Friends
We hope you have been following the exciting updates and changes to the Track-Masters organisation over the past few months.
If not then please visit our Facebook www.facebook/track-masters.co.uk page or the Website www.track-masters.co.uk and all will be explained.
Now that Christmas is over and a new year is upon us thoughts turn to new adventures for 2012.
Following the great success of the Trackmasters 2010 trip to watch the 24hr race, we have decided that in 2012 we will return. Those of you who came with us previously will no doubt remember the fun and games we all had. Who can forget the thrill of fully race prepared cars screaming past on full chat barely inches from you on one of the most torturous race tracks in the world, or the treks through the woods at night listening to the engines howling past and watching the cars flood lights race past and illuminate the treetops.
If you didn’t join us then we can only hint at the excitement and buzz you will feel walking amongst the pitlane and starting grid as close to 200 racing machines prepare for and epic battle.
Details
Accommodation – 4 nights at the Hotel an der Nordschleife Apartments, Adenau.
We have secured the same apartment we got in 2010, which provides great views from the balcony overlooking Adenau Bridge as you chill with a BBQ’d sausage and beer.
Or just a stone’s throw from the forest walks which will quickly get you to the Foxhole or the fast uphill section of Kesselchen towards the Karussell.
Opposite the apartment is the main bus stop to catch the free bus to the main Ring complex and wander amongst the pitlane’s and grandstands.
The apartment has 3 bedrooms with single beds and sleeps 12 in total. There is a bathroom, WC and lounge area leading onto the Balcony.
Dates
Thursday 17th May – Monday 21st May 2012
Details
We plan to have Sat night at the Pistenklause for the traditional steak on stones. This will require an early booking so the sooner we can confirm your place the better.
We also plan to make a trip to Schumacher’s karting track, most likely to be on the Friday. Details of this will follow depending on the level of interest.
Pricing
We have managed to bring you this trip for the bargain price of £285.
This includes your 4 night’s accommodation, including breakfast in the main hotel each morning, and a full 4 day pass for the race which gives entry to the main ring complex plus all the viewing stations to watch, practice sessions, qualifying, night practice, all the support events and of course the main 24hr race itself. You are free to watch as much of the racing as you can handle.
As with previous TM events we will take payment in 3 instalments. The first of which to secure your place on this event can be paid now.
Deposit to secure place - £95
2nd instalment - £95, due March
3rd instalment - £95, due end of April.
Payments by transfer can be made to the usual Track Masters account:

and people say Porsche design is lazy! ;)

And others say if it ain'y broke don't fix it.

Porsche have demonstrated perfectly the evolution of car design.
Why arrive somewhere (maybe, depending on the weather) with pomp and fanfare in a Ferrari, when you can arrive there.
None of my bosses have ever driven Ferrari's.

My dad was down visiting with auntie and uncle so us blokes decided to try and find a boozer on the way back from a trip to the natural history museum. Walked through knightsbridge and happened upon HR Owens where there had one of these sitting pretty in the window...a 512!!!
except the one they had is from the Nick Mason's collection!! Needless to say, we had to have a proper look at it and it's even better up close. Amazing patina which you can only get from using your car properly!! Don't think it's there much longer but worth checking out to see it in the flesh!
And they go on and on. Not nearly as long as a Nissan Primera, but longer than most.
