Heh, I just got one of those great forum moments when you read a post and it happens in your head in the accent of the person who posted it. Nice one tika.

I've been looking at the map and I think that the way that you guys did it might be harder. Less steep but longer. I'll try that way soon.

Invite only. I could get you in but the initiation is quite horrific. You have your own pvc suit and know someone with a farm, right?

I've only just found this thread, when searching for Canonbie Road.
Firstly, I can't believe I missed this event, it looks absolutely brilliant and loads of really neat people were involved. Definitely in for next year!
Secondly, Canonbie Road is brilliant. I spotted it the other day when riding up to the Horniman museum and thought that it would be a good one to put into a training loop. Went out last night and did a few of the hills around there, Overhill Rd, Langton Rise, Westwood Park and Canonbie Rd. Managed it from the steep side on 48 x 19 and really loved it. What a great view as a reward at the top. (I hope that you lot looked back over your shoulder when you had come up it from the other side?)
I only did the circuit once last night but am thinking about ramping that up so that I can start to not die on the Surrey Hills. Anyone fancy joining me?
I sometimes do canonbie road, from the Forest Hill side, round the corner and descending onto Honor Oak Road
Have you tried Eliot Bank? Bit rough at the top but good 'fun'.
I got applause from the Yoot Dem at the top last time as well.

Oooh, a new one. I've never done Eliot Bank but I may go and find it tonight. Thanks for the tip.

TLC - are there any photos from the pavé section just off Commercial Road? I've never been able to find anything from the official photographer.
Do you mean Stepney Green? No official photos, just our slightly tired and unwell film maker (link to follow with the TLC film). There were plenty of folk riding this sectuer over and over as its the pick of the bunch really, maybe some pictures floating about independiente?
