Agree on the indicator thing completely. What gauls me the most is where traffic calming measures are taken, and the road narrows with 50m to go - why is it imperative to squeeze a cytclist into the gutter to then have to slow so much to creep through a tiny gap. Do they not look in their rear view mirror and see previously cut up cyclist f-ing and jeffing? No of course they don't, their in their little tin box and singing to feckin Kylie!
I've had two tipper type vans do the same thing in the same place to me this week, the second time they nearly swiped an elderly lady from her very sedate pedal home. She was properly shaken. To be fair, not sure wether she was shaken by the van cutting her up or that someone actually stopped to see if she was okay?
On the flipside, I've had quite a few chuckles with cab drivers and other motorists on my way in/out from work when completely stupid drivers do completely stupid things. That to me feels like sharing the road, where I'm not just a cyclist and the driver is not just a driver, humans being human.
That was quite romantic, what am I thinking!!!
I'm not anti car at all, I'm anti Dullard behind the wheel though!
