How can you skid / How to do skids / skidding

what position is your skid switch in? on the 88 peugots I think the toggle should be just under the bottom bracket shell.

make sure it's set to on (pointing forwards). otherwise you'll only be able to skid backwards.

I've had a look but I can't see anything; it's quite dirty. Do I need to remove the bottom bracket? I've got all the tools
