i've had one puncture so far with my normal marathons, a slither of glass got in my side wall. never had a puncture with gators. in my mind the paselas will be thin in the sidewall dept. and slippy. if i was planning on riding into an apocalypse i'd get marathon pluses, they are hard as nails, but you feel it in the ride.
