I was in full hermit mode for 86 miles today. Back by noon, as Faith's laid up ill on the couch, and loads of shit needed doing at home / she needed Tynan 'removed' for a while :D

I was so happy to finally see some people on the route... so I could fly past them all and leave them wondering who the fsck is that awesome rider in that cool kit? :)
And then it turns out to be the bloody forum massive! Didn't eat enough today. :S

Great ride and a reasonable roast lamb to finish. Thanks everyone for waiting for my puncturific start.

After getting lost and arriving 30mins late, the ride started off as normal... turn first corner, swerve to avoid dead badger. Turn second corner, swerve to avoid headless badger. Turn third corner, swerve to avoid the forum massive huddled at the roadside fixing their second(!) puncture.

Selfishly, I'm glad you got delayed though - as it turned out to be a great ride and you all dragged me around far quicker than I would ever pushed myself otherwise.

Hope you made the train back in time?*

*After ordering 3 pints with 16mins before the train left, 1.5mile away :D

yeh, it was a fun ride - not as hilly as i was expecting though. am yet to wrok out if that's a good or bad thing. the highlight for me was definitely the two five year old kids chanting 'well done cyclists' about 200m from the finish.

topped the day off with too many beers whilst watching the football to cast myself into denial about having to work out of town all week, and then louie theroux does wrestling on DVD. a good day all in all.
