Unfortunately, Fleabay do not always shower themselves in glory and you have to be careful what they promise on the website and what they actually do.
And here is the point. ebay involves risk. They make assurances that the journey will be a safe one and for the most part it is but when it does go wrong you'll find it very hard to find settlement and any naive notion of 'fairness' or 'justice' you have will be challenged by their deliberately open ended policies. I know of a stolen bike that is listed and has been re-listed on ebay at this moment and it makes you wonder exactly what measures they put in place to stop this happening. Their response is to go to the police but in the meantime they will be happy to collect any fees on an item that is reported as stolen.
