A man died after crashing his motorbike into a van this morning.
An ambulance crew and firefighters were called at 6am to rescue the motorcylist from the van in Long Road, Clapham Common, but he was pronounced dead at the scene.
A spokesperson for London Ambulance Service said: "We were called at 6am to Long Road following a road traffic collision involving a motorcyclist.
"The patient was pronounced dead at the scene."
Long Road between Clapham Common and Rookery Road are closed, whilst traffic is tailing back along Clapham Road to Bedford Road and on Balham Hill.
There are also delays around Clapham Common. My condolences to the riders friends and family.

Yeah, poor sod.
Huge disruption in Clapham this morning - police had closed long road and there was a tent up at the junction with Rookery Road.
Twitter says there has been a fatiality but seems to be some confusion over whether it was a motorbike or cyclist.
Does anybody know anymore? Really hope twitter is wrong on this one.
