The current Guinness world record for 'kicking an otter's face off' is currently held by Sue Lawley, however it is being challenged this very evening by Tharg Gruunholm of Oslo. Tharg's technique differs from Lawley's mainly in that he will use diving flippers for greater contact area.
Norris macwhirter confirms that Lawley's record is in jeopardy, as Gruunholm practices daily using a sand filled sock with googly eyes suspended from a washing line.
Lawley has written Gruunholm off as 'just another wannabe' stating that his flippers will cause excessive scampering and a possible otter stampede.
