• I had the predecessor - 1000 - and I went through a 103mm bb (recommended for them by the shop I bought from, so short you couldn't even tighten the crank bolts fully before the spider bolts gauged the chainstay) and a 107mm bb (about, ooh, 1mm clearance which eventually ate into the chainstay through frame flex) before finally accepting that having a very slightly-less-than-perfect chainline was better than a gauged frame. Get the 110. And yes, 3-4 mm of bb spindle showing is normal.
