Overwhelming, hot, soppy, dripping lust for Pistoffski's gear.

Ps its i live in NZ. so this is not 'frisco' in the background.
Just reminded me of a scene from this film, particularly the one where the narrator skates across the shot at 00:58

Why?
Does it have an expensive weight weenie stem, and fecking heavy wheels too. -
• #58767
Neither weight weenie nor expensive: http://www.wiggle.co.uk/deda-zero1-road-stem/?utm_source=google&utm_medium=base&utm_campaign=uk&utm_content=Deda-Deda_Zero1_Road_Stem-Black
Just cheap, functional and suits the bike.

Bugger. Thought it was the extralite logo. Not Deda-aded. squints
Those wheels are still irritatingly overbuilt. Its a bloody lovely bike. Which is why the hipster wheels grate me I suppose..

It's actually my bike. The wheels were built to be as bombproof as possible while still satisfying the look I wanted (hate shallow rims on bikes with fat/aero tubing). They were a good call I reckon...since March when I started riding this bike it's done 4000+ miles of commuting over some really shitty roads. It's also done 1500+ miles of road riding. Up until this week, I only had one road bike and when it was ever out of action, instead of riding the fast club ride on the road bike, I'd join the slower (though still pretty brisk) road ride on the Look.
It's seen the worst roads and weather the UK has to offer, day in day out all year round...and the wheels are still perfectly true and smooth (I put the seals in the DA hubs, not sure how much that counts for anything). It is heavy, but that just helps make the WW roadie all the more special ;)

~~I thought it might cause a discussion.
TBH on second thoughts it should really be in functional bikes. It's meant to be a fixed training bike. I liked it for the aesthetics and it's overall functionality.

How have you secured the rear brake cable?
-
• #58772
Tape
-
• #58773
For that picture it was tape while I was waiting for the proper clips to arrive. I ordered some of these: http://www.sjscycles.co.uk/m:part-self-adhesive-cable-guides-3m-pack-of-3-prod13059/
Ran them for a while, but they didn't secure the cable tight enough against the tube for my liking so went back to tape. Black 'leccy tape at the moment.

LOOK 464
Looks good for track-training-on-the-roads.
The wheels annoy me too though. Too many holes in those H+Sons rims!

bob jackson 853 track
A mishmash of interesting bits and a pretty special frame = a really individual bike. Hotness.
Yes!!
