I'm after a turbo trainer, do all of them require a quick release rear wheel? Cos I don't have one and, do any of you have a second hand one... Ta!

my post was very vague, sorry. I mean all turbos I've seen can fit nutted axles. the cups for quick release ends fit over them fine, as long as the axel doesnt stick out much further than the nut. If you end up with one that doesn't fit I'm sure some fileing would sort that. most adjust down for 120mm spacing aswell.

The first reply was more than enough but thanks for the extra effort man. I think i'll either be buying one in person in which case i'll make sure to ask every possible question under the sun or if anyone here has a second hand one i'll make sure to ask them. Much appreciated advice though.

^^ presuming you've checked the waste trap in the u bend thingy?

I was cleaning the entire chain in the sink and forgot to check it was still attached before I emptied the sink. I checked the u-bend with no luck...

All good now, managed to solve the issue with a piece of Meccano! Jobs a good'un.

anyone want some different wheels? rear is a Fire Eye Excelerant RS14FW laced 3x to 26" mavic x117 disc rim with aci double butted spokes, front is shimano m475 to same rim, same spokes. All brand new, laced them this evening, will cytech true the shit out of them tomorrow morning. £60 rear, £50 front. Would be good polo wheels or singlespeed mtb or summit
