In terms of customer service; I have sent back a pair of shorts for exchange (just before Christmas) which they say they have not received yet but are willing to process the return regardless. That is pretty impressive.

I have the cross bibs. Don't have the regular 3/4 or shorts to compare them to, but they're a bit thinner than the leg warmers from memory. Quite a bit thinner than the arm warmers. I can wear mine in all but the hottest conditions and be comfortable. Best bibs I have.

Tempted. I dont need another jacket, but bib 3/4s i reckon woukd be useful. Finding it hard to justify though with the paltry amount or proper riding i do just now, meh

you talking about the 3/4's right? yeah they're lighter more for when it's the start of 3/4 season. If wearing them when rather colder the old chap will get a little chilly when you start off

if you're wearing baggies over then they'd be great right till the point of wearing longs

I have to say, while Im feeling a bit stung by the drop in pricing the sale/discount codes leave me looking at, the Rapha stuff I acquired over christmas is just lovely. Jeans have been rated A1 by girlfriend, who thinks they're nicer than the normal ones even without all the being-on-the-bikeness.

I'm also looking at the cross bibs. The truth is I really just want the classic bibs, but due to a couple of other purchase can't afford it at the moment. Also I like the idea of 3/4 because I think of them getting more use throughout the year.

So questions are:

• If they're thinner would they last until late spring?
  
• Would they be fine with the touring shorts from now until then?
  
• Do they have a chamois and all the features that everyone raves about with the Classic Bibs?

I've been commuting in the cross bibs all year round. Combine with baggies and leg warmers on the coldest days and can wear them on all but the hottest summer days. Bought the classic bibs recently - same pad and features only difference is the slightly fleecy lining of the cross compared to lycra of classic.

I've also had the old green bomber jacket for over a year - wear it all the time. Tempted to get a grey one even though mine is in amazing condition.

Anyone want a xxl bomber jacket in green with orange lining for £50?
