I've never had a problem with it myself, got one of their pocket rocket jackets and It's awesome.
Also have toured for 3 weeks with the altura panniers (56 litre I believe) and they've held up incredibly well. Not a mark on them, which considering I was leaning the bike on them a lot and using them as pillows on the floor says a lot for their durability.
