There's hella conflicting advice on this thread. I have no opinion on the matter because I love education and want to stay in it forever but I have a case study for your consideration:
My best friend from home dropped out of A-levels to work at a shop full time when he was 17 because he didn't care about qualifications he just wanted to work and have money. That was 5 years ago and he still works at a shop. A different shop, but a similar one, doing a similar thing.
Although he's happy at the moment, if he ever did decide that there was something else he wanted to do it would be very difficult for him, because he has nil qualifications, so he would end up having to start from scratch at anything he wants to do. At least if you have a qualification, even if it's not directly relevant to your interests or a new career, it's proof to other people that you have certain skills that might be transferable or simply that you can complete a course successfully, which would be useful in the future if you want to move beyond mushroom farming.
