As a stunt a car parked in the cycle lane is crushed beneath the wheels of an armoured personnel carrier driven by the mayor of Vilnius, Lithuania:*

I think our Boris is eccentric enough to take that idea up too :p
Our lot have the power to stop motorists driving/parking/crossing cycle lanes, but they do not use it (the special dotted/solid anti car line of paint) and even if they did bother to use the anti car line of paint, they wouldn'tbother enforcing it, like last night I was nearly hit head (closing speed 100-120mph) on by a guy in a van on his phone rumaging in the glove box, police have powers to fine/penalty points/court demand for driving on the phone/distracted/no due care & attention, but they do not use the powers handed to them by gov. lame.

This is a slightly more passive but still a pretty cool approach just started in Milan. The website sends yous "Respect my bike" stickers, so you can spal them on cars in bike lanes and parking spots... pretty hard to peal off apparently. I'm thinking of getting a batch sent over.

Very open to abuse, nothing to stop people sticking them on any cars, anywhere.
How much would it cost to cover an Addison Lee people carrier?

isn't it just a candid camera thing
the bloke whose merc gets run over doesn't seem to be too upsetbut then again it is russia, the bloke whose merc gets crushed would be too scared to complain .. next time it might be his wife or his kids that get " crushed "

^^^ Hmmmm you see someone running over your car in a tank do you:
a) Chase after them and try to pick a fight.
b) Wet yourself and thank god you or your kids weren't in the car at the time.
c) Think thank god I have insurance.
d) Nothing but take a mental picture of the driver's face and add him to the "killing list" -

Could just cover the - seemingly redundant - side mirrors and rear windor and the logo, in these times of austerity.
Abuse is possble, but that shouldn't stop us from punishing the lane blockers & those that steal space in the cycle box at traffic lights. though dont know how i'd get away with stickering the latter...

I just stick those on cars (it's a fake and you can buy it);

Get some new WAC stickers run off. Security stickers like that a total PITA to remove, we use them to asset tag stuff at work.
