1.) Don't slow down into a hill so you can shift into a granny gear. All the fixed are trying to keep momentum going into the climb. There's nothing worse than using leg power to slow down at the base of a hill because geared riders are trying to shift down before pulling away.
2.) No Loud Freewheels. Leave the Dura Ace at home.
All that said I haven't been on a TNRC for ages. I miss it dearly though.
