My link between tags was a bit tenuous, sorry!
My friend did do a whole project for her final show at the RCA about the fleet- as part of it she actually cleaned and polished the circular grate, I'll see if I can find a photo of her down on her knees, washing-up gloves on and scrubbing brush in hand (no euphs).
