Ha no worries man, a bit of googling and a good excuse to get some miles. Sitting in LMNH drowning my sorrows with a cappuccino.
The non tag is another grate over the river Fleet, bit further down steam outside the Coach and Horses in Clerkenwell, a place name derived, incidentally, from the presence of the river. Had no idea about the River Fleet until this morning.

I came across the Coach and Horses grate when I was searching for the old tag. Had to dig deeper to find the grate next to the Prince Albert.
They are both grate watering holes!

I was wrong about knowing your new tag (didn't say where it was in case you wanted to use it at some point in the future), but I thought it was the Tyburn, just off Edgeware Road.

Damn, i was here this morning as well.
Very interesting couple of hours googling to find the right drain covers though. Some of the stuff hidden away underneath London is fascinating.
Now i just need to work out the next tag before someone beats me again.

A house I lived in about 15 years ago had the Fleet running under it. If you go to here on Arlington Rd the houses with the extra level up top don't have cellars, because the Fleet runs underneath.

Did you figure out the clue?
I was trying to allude to the fact that the site was formerly the home of Fleet prison (named after the river): More info (if you want).

I do know the new one too, but I've done my tag today so will leave it for now.

From an old door which should have been shown more respect (Old St Magistrates):
To a new door to which we should probably show a little less respect:

Nice one Katie coo, almost reflecto porn ;)

WooHoo!
After chasing around London all day i have finally collected a tag and got home to post it before anyone else.Old tag is the Gherkin. No reflecto porn, but i did have an angry security guard who clearly felt that respect was due to his door.
New tag

Ooh good picture! Well done zoom.
My link between tags was a bit tenuous, sorry!
My friend did do a whole project for her final show at the RCA about the fleet- as part of it she actually cleaned and polished the circular grate, I'll see if I can find a photo of her down on her knees, washing-up gloves on and scrubbing brush in hand (no euphs). -

i canne see new tag

Yeah, i really wanted to do something related to the river, or at least subterranean, but having been too late to three tags in the past week i decided to stop thinking about connections and just do.
Hope this works better Louis http://farm8.staticflickr.com/7015/6661498597_49e9c73c76_z.jpg

I know it, but only 'cos I walked past this afternoon. Too far away now though...
-
• #5447
I did have a look down the hole to see the river
;) I did the same, I'm sure the two are in fact connected in some way. Happy that others have found it interesting too. Nice one dbr and zoom for getting one in the end - what a great day's tagging...

New tag
How long did you have to set the self timer to in order to run over there and sit down in time?
-
• #5449
I thought I didn't know this until just now! I've never seen it from this angle. I might have to nab this one tomorrow morning as I've been out of the game for far too long and missed some really obvious ones.
