i bought this bike but never did anything with it in the end as i put some hub gears on my other bike. so if anyone wants it I can put up some better pics. I have made the following changes - got a brand new big chainring, i got the wheel sacredheart mentions upthread too from hilary stone. i also got some new bartape and brake levers to go with it which are not fitted but would be included.
So, as above. - it's a beautiful colour and the frame is sound
4130 wine coloured frame.
Top Tube 56.5cm C-C
Seat Tube 51cm C-C
THE GOOD:
Frame is straight, no dents or rust.
Ultegra brakes in good nick!
Armadillo tyres on front in good condition.
Shimano gears incl 600 rear derailler.
sound rear wheel with brand new michlen tyre - alesi rim. shimano hub
brakes seem pretty bombproof - ultegra
THE BAD/UGLY:
Front wheel has buckle. (this has been semi fixed and ridden around a bit but could probs do with a look at)
Needs new bar tape. (included but not put on)
Needs a general tune up.
Got some cheapo pedals on
Got a white leather triathalon seat which looks pretty wicked but it medium way through its life.
rear mech fully indexed and working but front one not working - wire from gear lever has never been properly fixed into the front mech (but this shouldn't be a big job right?)
140£, just looking to get back what i've paid, be a wicked project if you are so inclined - just needs a bit of tlc and. hackney evenings/weekends
