Ah, the old ISO/JIS taper issue.
Check out Sheldon for more info.

Miche's are ISO. Shimano's are JIS.
Follow the rest of Andyp's advice.

OK, so my old BB is a 108mm english thread. The only english thread ISO BB I can see around that length is the Miche 107mm, which I have read is rubbish. Average bearings, loosens itself. http://www.wiggle.co.uk/miche-primato-track-bottom-bracket
The next largest is the Token ISO campy http://www.totalcycling.com/index.php/product/BB_TOKEN_ISO_CAMPY.html?action=currency&id=GBP or Tifosi http://www.chainreactioncycles.com/Models.aspx?ModelID=56856&utm_source=google&utm_medium=shopping&utm_campaign=Google-Products-UK
At 111mm, will this affect my chain line enough to worry about it? I think not - 2mm either side, 1.5mm if you take into account my old BB was a 108mm - but always good to hear from people in the know. I don't want to spend a fortune, £25 is the sweet spot.

I'm running a Miche BB and have had no problems with it. Plus its got 2 adjustable cups so you can tweak the chainline by running it off centre.
Or you could pick up some cheap JIS cranks from Tokyo Fixed to use with the Shimano.

OK I'll give the miche ago, it's only £13 online and I can just replace it if issues. I need a campy bb tool I spose?
EDIT, bargain, £20 for both delievered at park international. Snice.

Apologies for a potential thread hijack, but I've got a similar question:
Just bought a Stronglight Mygal chainset, (http://www.planet-x-bikes.co.uk/i/q/CSSTMYG1654-165-SIL-48/stronglight-mygal-messenger-single-speed-chainset---165-mm---silver-chainrings---48t), says it requires a 107mm BB, just wondering whether it's ISO or JIS tapered?
Thanks.

Bizarrely, Stronglight use JIS tapers.

Ah, any recommendations of a reasonably cheap BB please?

Shimano UN54 if you can find one with the right axle length. They are very good value for money.

Awesome, just ordered one for £13.99 from CRC, thanks :)

I also have a Miche Primato crank set. can anyone recommend a 113mm bottom bracket that will work with it?

111 is close enough. They are designed for 107 so your chainline will be out by 2mm, assuming its symmetric which i think it is.
I have a Shimano UN54 that I was planning to use with some Miche Primato cranks, but after testing them out I'm not sure they fit correctly.

It feels like it should go in another 5-6mm to sit properly. Is this cause for concern? This will probably knock my chain line out...
