Brooks Colt is IMO the best saddle they make. Totally different feel to all the others, you don't sit on the rivets in the way the other shapes tend to encourage.

Have PMed question about Brooks colt.
-
• #11
Is the brooks black or brown? hard to tell from the photos.
-
• #12
Its brown but quite dark - soaking it in oil generally does that to leather. 2nd photo is best representation. The others are a bit off with white balance..

I'm taking the Carridice bag and mech off tomorrow..
Hi all
A few things for sale: All collected London NW11. Priority if you can collect. Postage costs approximate so may be +/- £1.
1) Chromed track / road 1" 700c forks.
Steerer 145mm. Threaded section 46mm. Chromo. 100mm dropout distance. Very good condition. Unused.
£18 Collected NW11. £23 Posted.

2) Carridice saddle bag.
Grey material with reflective triangle. Only 1 leather strap remaining (I just used zip ties). Perfect size for winter day rides when you're carrying waterproofs and jumpers.. The internal compression strap has broken. Small hole in bottom too I think.
£22 Collected. £27 Posted.

3) Brooks Colt touring saddle
Ultimate long distance touring saddle. Not fully broken in yet so your sit bones can make their own mark! Leather in good condition but not flawless. The leather is super thick and tough so I would expect it needs at least another 500 miles to break it in fully. I soaked it in oil to speed things up (as Sheldon and others suggest) but it hasn't had much effect. Brooks plate at back has been worn blank and Colt gold lettering is pretty worn too but still there.
£45 Collected. £50 Posted. {SOLD}

4) Campagnolo Record rear hub.
Races are slightly pitted I seem to remember, but has been re-greased with new bearings. Should clean up perfectly with some Autosolve and a polishing drill bit. Takes an English threaded screw on freewheel. Spacer for 6 speed.
Might use it if it doesn't sell so excuse the price. Comes with original Campagnolo chromed skewer in very good condition.
£23 Collected. £26 Posted. {Sold Pending Payment}

5) Suntour Cyclone Mk.2 rear derailleur
Legendary derailleur from 1981. 164g so super light even by today's standards. Very sought after on the bay. Was SunTour's response to the DuraAce AX gruppo, and marked the beginning of the aerodynamic age.
Some history for those that care is here: http://www.disraeligears.co.uk/Site/SunTour_Cyclone_Mark-II_derailleur_%283500%29.html
The writing is quite worn but otherwise it is clean and working perfectly. Springs seem hardly used.
Apologies for out-of focus pictures.
£20 Collected. £22.50 Posted.
