My GF has decided to do the London-Brighton ride and currently has a Raleigh Candice with a single front cottered crank.
She will definitely need the extra ring up the front but think the wheels will be fine to stay as there is quite a big range on the rear cassette.
So. Not fussy about make etc, but need the following....
Crankset, ideally 170mm. Compact would be nice but not essential.
A compatible bb (English thread.)
Front mech, Band on ideally but I already have a braze on adapter which would fit the frame so band on is also fine.
Band on friction gear levers, or even better would be the old gear levers which fit around the stem as it is a mixte frame so bending to the lower tube every time you want to change gear might be inconvenient.

I have to px/swap for bits;
an unbranded silver aero seatpost 27.2 in good not too scratchy condition
a silver 90mm (i think) 26.0 stem
possibly some cinelli criteriums 44cm (But will have to get replacements first as they are on my bike.)
some mks sylvan pedals with cages and double straps
some brand new mks suede njs toestraps, black.
a brand new Mavic Aksium front wheel
a wall mounted bike hook.
