Urgh nearly fainted within about 2 minutes. Maybe I should wait till the black eye's gone down.

how's the ribs going TtotheB?

Not bad thanks; I don't think they're actually broken after all. They still hurt, but I am ignoring that and doing most things as normal. In fact I went for a 10km run this morning. Which was admittedly fairly excruciating but the fact that I could do it suggests they're not too bad. I've stopped having dizzy spells every time I stand up or sit down too which is good.
How are your ribs/collarbone doing?

Good news, sounds like a muscular tear/detachment rather than a break
all good with me, doing load on the turbo to get endorphins and keep some modicum of fitness - going around RP tonight to see how things feel - first time on the road since doing the ribs - YAY!

Did mine again on sunday, upper chest about where my heart should be.
Almost start crying if I laugh, coughing is a very painful experience.
Riding to work today was rather painful I think I may have to stick to the turbo as well.
The cold does not help at all, painkillers are not doing much except for the codeine at night. -

make sure you supplement the codeine with loads of figs, prunes etc :^]

I had muscular detachment as a result of breaking mine. The ribs mended over time, but the tears became a weak spots. I had a fair few relapses. Admittedly I was taking decent blows in rugby. But nothing the body had'nt coped with before. Havent had any issues over the last 12 months though.
I'd be careful not to strain them too much.

Running is apparently not advisable even if they feel OK. Ow.
That's the third time I've attempted running and re-broken myself. I never learn.

That's the joy of youth TB. However.................. PLEASE try and learn sooner rather than later :-).

I am trying! I'm giving myself a whole seven months before attempting lolelo mark 2 (lolejoglo) AND I'm going to keep it under 120 miles a day. Now I just need to be unbroken before July.

Despite the doctor looking at x-rays of my chest and telling me that my ribs aren't broken and are just a bit bruised I have just folded up from a good cough. I was hit by a car over 2yrs ago after stumbling into the road. Ambulance, spine board, 3miles of traffic backed up, all to get to the hospital and have my jewels played with. Then my neck/back was x-rayed in varying positions only to be told that there was nothing wring with me and that I can sit up when I'm ready. I couldn't sit up for another 2hrs and even then I had to pull my head up, once up it was fine just the getting up. For 6months after the accident work was excruciating as I had to do a lot of reaching up. I still get the occasional pain session from them and can easily make them hurt if I poke the right place.
Excellent. Maybe I am not doomed to six weeks of endorphin withdrawal after all. Right, going to give it a go.
