I've had this bike from new, and in that time have replaced everything bar the stem.
The motivation behind this is to create a bike that is at the UCI legal limit for weight, with no limitations on rider weight.
Today it was the pedals turn to be tweaked slightly.
I had the entry level Chromoly Speedplay Zero pedals, and decided to replace the axles with aftermarket titanium ones.

The result is 59g dropped, and any worries about corrosion banished:
