mac2sell guide quotes £450. If you're willing to accept that I will take it off your hands. PMing now.

eBay prices put it around the £600 mark so lowest I will probably go is £550

Sold my similar vintage alu MacBook for £500 so that seems like a fair price.

Does it come with the AppleCare? That's aways a big plus when selling 2nd hand apple products.

It does. According to my receipt it lasts until 27 August 2013. Pretty sure it's registered but I haven't attached it to my e-mail account.

OK just checked on the apple website. I am definitely still covered. Typed in my serial number to confirm.

Then I think £500 - £600 is a fairly reasonable price. I think your only problem is that the Intel core duo is slightly out of date as all Mac laptops (I think) is now equipped with at least i5. In my mind, these are all just numbers and I can't see any difference between i3 and i7 and indeed the core duo, but some people will disagree. Anyway, good luck with it.
PS got a friend who was after a mac, will pass it onto her.

Thank you very much for the help ExTra. I don't really need a laptop at home and I'd rather use the money to build up another bike haha

px with a bike?
-

Ah it's too late for me to do that. I have a Shorter 753 frame and most of a SRAM Rival/ Force grouspet ready to be put on it. The money from the laptop should cover everything else I need and half of what I've paid already hopefully... However, I do still need a rear wheel, cassette, chain and also help to actually build my bike (wiring etc).

It started at £650 and has now dropped all the way down to £580, pretty significant I'd say.

Almost forgot, my mate says this is too small for her studio, she's gone for an iPad instead... erm... I think she has gone for the look that the functions, but not my business. Good luck with the sale.
Do you actually realised you have already said £550 is probably the lowest you'd go for and that's the guide price I think people would consider...
