BTW, they did use 531c (mainly).
Only in some cases higher, more expenive, tube sets.
Not for TT frames though.
I saw most of the TVM bikes in real and supplied a lot of materials to the team mechanics/riders/service course.
Never had any ontact to GJT.
1st, because he joined the team not that long and when he did it was quite late.
2nd he was (and certainly still is) a weird guy, always on his own. E.g. having (baby food) dinner in the team bus, while the resr of the team was eating in the hotels restaurant.
So, I can't give that many details.
