Yep, it would have had Pepperoni alloy forks when new. Many owners changed these for sprung forks, of course.
The ones fitted to the bike here are very similar to the earlier 1991-spec M800.

this is so tight, have a bump

Apparently those pepperoni forks were brutal stiff.
Here's the 93 cat if anyone wants to see the original look. Loving those delta v frames too.

1993 Cannondale Beast of the East
Had this a couple of years but never use it (it's far too good to get dirty!) so can't really justify keeping it.
Most of the equipment is period-correct and a good deal of it was acquired NOS. Since restoration it has covered minimal mileage in dry conditions only.
The M800 Beast of the East was developed for 'technical trails' and has a very high bottom bracket for clearance over rocks and logs. Not too many of those in London but could be handy for those high kerbs...
Frame is Large size (suit 5ft 9in to 6ft ish) and has been professionally refinished in pearlescent white by Bob Jackson.
Bike looks superb, is very, very light and is in amazing condition.
Equipment as follows:
XT rear mech (long cage)
LX front mech
LX shifters
LX brake levers
XT Vee brakes (cantis also available as option)
Fred Salmon bars and stem combo
Flite titanium saddle
Kore seatpost
Sugino triple chainset
FSA headset with alloy reducer (1 1/4 to 1 1/4)
GT cromo rigid forks
LX hubs with FIR rims and stainless steel spokes
WTB Velociraptor tyres
Can be viewed in South Oxfordshire. May be able to deliver to West or South London.
Looking for **£375 **for this beauty. NOW £325
