I remember my first bike with Look pedals. The eBay advert said "Keo" pedals, so I wore Keo cleats. They were a little loose and rattly once clipped in, which I assumed was normal. After a few miles I stood up to sprint down a hill and then felt both my feet release from the pedals just as a transit van was overtaking me. So (at 20mph) I flumped suddenly forwards, my feet were dragging along the road and my manhood was getting seriously acquainted with the top tube. I was imagining how my face would feel against the tarmac, but managed to keep the bike upright and not swerve into the van. I lost a lot of plastic on my shoes, and had chronic testes-ache.

Turns out I actually required Deltas.
