  • I've outgrown the size of the frame so with regret I'm putting the bike up for sale. I've ridden this all over London for the past year or so and had immense fun doing so.

    Bob Griffin Singlespeed/Fixed Gear Bike

The frame and fork is made from Reynolds 531, it recieved a full respray approximately 1 year ago and as such features a "Reybolds 531" renovated sticker on the downtube. The colour is mint green with white headtube and red lined lugs. It is a converted road frame. Originally bought off forum member Tel. There is a tiny dent on the bottom of the downtube which is hardly noticeable. Rear spacing is 126mm.

Dims: CT = 57cm x TT 53.5cm (Note short TT length)

Headset: Edco (Could do with a service/re-grease, slightly twitchy)

    Stem: 3TTT

Handelbar: 3TT Mod Competizione (Nice engraving on bars)

    Bar Tape: White ITM

    Brake Levers: Dirty Harry

    Brakes: Shimano 105

    Seatpost: Old Style Campag Record

    Saddle: B17 Honey

Cranks: Stronglight 106 with stronglight 53 tooth chainring

Pedals: MKS Slyvan with MKS toeclips and straps

Front Rim: Campag Sirocco with campag Hub (can't remember which one) with QR flat spokes.

Rear Rim: H+Plus Son laced to Miche Primato.

    Chain: Charge Half-Link (Red)

  • i like that a lot,have a bump and very seasonal colouring....

  • I guarantee if you change the chain and the outer cables to black ones it will sell much quicker

  • Any chance of splitting? Interested in the font wheel.

  • this again?
hope you fitted the chain the other way around since last time.

  • sell it in part, you'll get more from that.

  • If you split, I'll get the rear wheel if AndyL gets the front...

  • if you slpit, ill grab the bars, stem and levers.

  • And I'll grab the frame for 135 squid

  • Thats gotta be your asking price there with the dibsed items. You should have no problems shifting the Brooks and Stronglight Chainset....

  • Hi Guys,

Thanks for your interest in the bike.

I am prepared to split seeing as there is so much up take.

I'll PM you now with prices and collection - which will be in Jan now,

    Matt

  • Edscoble has dibs the frameset and cranks.

  • what length are the cranks?

  • go on scobes breathe some life back into that puppy!

  • I aim to, by moving all the component from the blue Lotus onto the Griffin.

I gotta tell you, I hated the colour scheme, but it fit me nicely without stretching for a custom build, and it'll still look nice with the component I'll be using.

  • thought you were in love with the lotus?

  • I am, with the saddle set far forward and the stem at 80mm.

this one a full 2cm shorter while being long enough for me to not have a silly amount of seatpost shown.

Going to put it as a fixed wheel roadie first to see how it fit generally (club racer style) before moving the component so I can be sure if it's definitely worth it.

  • 2nd in line than for the frame and forks

  • Look forward to seeing it in it's new guise

  • Right, theres interest in splitting so I'll offer the parts up for sale for the following prices:
