Message from Shaun Williams who had his bike stolen from on top of his car at our cross race on sunday. If anyone saw anything on the day, or sees the bike please email info@hernehillvelodrome and we'll pass the message on.
"I am writing to inform you that my bike was stolen yesterday while attending the London X League event no 11 at the Herne Hill Stadium. It was stolen from on top of my car some time between 11am and 11.35am.
The bike was a black Cannondale CAAD9 with American Classic 38 wheels rolling on Tubs and with egg beater pedals
The bike is very unusual in that it has Shimano STI levers while the rest of the bike is Campag. ( there is a small conversion cog by the rear derailleur called a shiftmate).
I would be grateful if you to keep an eye out for it.
Here is a picture of the bike. It did not have the powertap monitor or bottle cages on at the time. Only the American Classic wheels were taken since the others were inside the car"
