• yeah the position and three number serial code was what made me think ephgrave, and the head lugs do have similar traits to his italia series, but are made much more interesting than his run of the mill italia frames, and this is a nicely built track, so im presuming its not a lesser ephgrave. the lack of letters was what suggested ephgrave for o'brien, as I found another frame that was '245' or something ridiculously close, which had two numbers on, one for o'brien, and one for ephgraves personal mark... that said the lugs werent the same, so its a complete mystery...

    this frame (on sale from the devil himself) was the one that made me think of mal rees, but I dont know anything about frame numbers or builders, though I know a few well recognised blokes worked for the company...

    either way, im building it up like it is cause it looks GAWG and I love it, may pick out the lugs in the same yellow, but worried it might look tacky. will respray eventually, but would like to ID it first. keep an eye on current projects for post xmas developments!
