An to reiterate a couple answers given to PMs, sorry I don't fancy splitting it, I'm not sure what it weighs and I won't take £20 for it.

Rare hub to find with chrome in good nick: have a bump...
btw I know of a pair of 32/40 clinchers hanging in a shop in se london, Mavic ma40 I think they are. Not exactly old english 27s, but it's hard to find 40 anything.

Skully, where? I need a 40H clincher, real bad.

^This.
I ended up building a Mavic T217 onto my 40h hub. Think the current version is the A719.

I've got buttery smooth atom 40h fixed /free hub, I was looking around for a rum to build it to.
Could be convinced to sell the hub if theres a home for it. -

Good or bad? The 550g and wide tyres give me pause. But may be the only new option.
OP, apologies for hijack. Take it as a free bump!

do you have lockrings for it/ what ones does it take?
-
• #16
I was'nt going to include a lockring or cog with it, hence I didn't show any in the photos. Although I've loosely fitted them just to be sure the threads were ok on both sides.
I thought lockring and cogs were a standard thread, I could be wrong though?
If you want me to include a lockring with it, feel free to make me an offer?
-
• #17
^ Sheldon says cogs are standard thread. Lockrings can differ:
English/ISO 1.29" x 24 TPI
Campagnolo/Phil Wood 1.32" x 24 TPI
Old French 33 mm x 1.0 mm

Cheers for info.
They must be English/ISO then as the lockring used also fit my BHC Airlites. -

It's pretty good, smallest tyre I've run on the rim is a 25c. Any smaller would be a no no. It was more of a convenience rim when I acquired it, but proves to be a strong and worthwhile build. Matched it up(ish) to an MA2 for the front wheel.

^ Sorry again, Some Guy- free bumpy.

Is this still for sale?

Blast from the past and the depths of the garage type bump.
Fixed gear rear wheel.
Built with a 40 hole Fiamme sprint rim, Phillips fixed/fixed hub and butted spokes. No tyre/tub fitted.
Spins freely and it's got excellent chrome on the hub. I've got photos which I will upload, but PM an email address if you want to see them now.
I Spent ages searching for a 40 hole rim a while back, so it may be of interest to some one. Haven't got a clue re price, say £40?
