If the new card is working fine it's not likely to be the phone is it? Did the old card work elsewhere?
Yes, the old card was working fine with my card reader.
I used to connect my old micro SD to a card reader to download photos, as my phone is not recognized by my computer as a external drive so always had to do this manually.
Only worried that it might happen again...

PS - I did not mention that in my first post about this as I cannot establish it is linked... Before I noticed the card was not working anymore on the phone, I had a little motorbike accident yesterday. Was visiting a construction site in the country side and was riding down a quite muddy forest path, from wheel slipped on a very muddy patch I had not seen in time and I fell off. Phone was in the pocket of my jacket, inside it's leather case. Maybe there was a shock, although cosmetically the phone is still perfect, everything is fully functionnal except for SD card off course...
